How to target problem skin from head to toe

If you’re just treating your skin with creams and lotions with your products in your bathroom cabinet, spending hundreds of pounds and not getting the result you want, it’s important to remember your skin is a two-sided organ. Topical creams are only doing 50% of the job. This may be why you’re not getting the results you desire. Feeding the skin from the inside through diet and supplements will help you achieve 100% skincare and better results.

Supplements provide complete coverage by targeting:

  • All skin components (epidermis, dermis, hypodermis, blood vessels and sebum), where many topical creams fail to reach.
  • Skin over the whole body from head to toe whereas topical creams only work where they’re applied.

What to look for:

When looking for a supplement programme. Our skin reserachers recommend the following when browsing for supplements to address problem skin:

  • 1. Supplements that clear and clarify the complexion.
  • 2. Do not contain any harsh chemicals.
  • 3. Contains vitamin a to support skin health*
  • 4. Contains vitamin c as it protects skin from oxidative stress**
  • 5. Zinc contributes to the maintenance of normal skin***

To support a targeted supplement regime, we also recommend the following:

1. Consume a variety of fruit and vegetables in your diet.

2. Eat fermented foods that include beneficial bacteria to support the gut-skin connection. Fermented foods include sauerkraut, miso, kimchi, and probiotic yoghurt.

3. Cut back on dairy products including milk, cheese and butter.

Remember problem skin can appear on other areas of the skin in addition to the face. With this in mind, when targeting problem skin, knowing what to look for when selecting a targeted supplement programme is key in achieving the results you desire.
